About Cafecito y Cultura
Cafecito y Cultura is a reflective space for moms—especially Latina moms—who love deeply, care deeply, and often feel like they’re falling short anyway.
This blog explores motherhood, mental health, teaching, and cultural identity through honest reflection and lived experience. It was created for the in-between moments, when emotional overwhelm, work-life balance, and cultural expectations all collide.
I’m a Latina mom, an educator, and someone with a background in counseling. Those roles shape how I write and how I approach this space. I believe in slowing down, naming what we’re feeling, and understanding where it comes from—because clarity is often the first step toward healing.
I also write from lived experience, navigating family life, teaching, and emotional well-being—often with a cafecito en la mano.
At Cafecito y Cultura, you’ll find counseling-informed reflections meant to support, not diagnose. The goal isn’t to offer quick fixes or perfect answers, but to share language, perspective, and gentle tools that help moms make sense of their experiences and feel less alone.
This space covers:
- Motherhood and maternal mental health
- Teaching, work-life balance, and emotional labor
- Counseling-informed reflections for everyday life
- Latina identity, culture, and generational expectations
Cafecito y Cultura is rooted in the belief that caring deeply doesn’t mean you’re failing—it means you’re human. You don’t need to have everything figured out to deserve rest, understanding, and compassion.
If you’ve ever felt like you’re doing your best and still questioning yourself, you’re in the right place.
Pour your cafecito and stay awhile.
